On Sunday, February 25, 2024, AIUB signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Asian Paints Bangladesh Ltd. right on campus. The signing ceremony was organized by AIUB’s Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA).

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, the Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB, and Mr. Budhaditya Mukherjee, the Country Director of Asian Paints Bangladesh Ltd. Among the attendees were Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director of OPA, along with his team, as well as Mr. Muzahidul Islam Jahid, Head of HR & Administration, and Ms. Masuma Akther Labonno, Assistant Manager of Human Resources & Administration, representing Asian Paints Bangladesh Ltd.

The primary objective of this MoU is to foster stronger ties between academia and the corporate sector for the benefit of AIUB students. This collaboration will provide students with internship opportunities, facilitate placements, and offer avenues for research. Additionally, Asian Paints Bangladesh Ltd. will support AIUB faculty in developing case studies related to the company's business operations.

Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rahman invited the guests for a tour of the campus. The guests were given a glimpse of the cutting-edge facilities in the Industrial Engineering department, where they had the chance to engage with students and faculty members alike.
