MoU signing between Project Management Institute (PMI) Bangladesh Chapter and American International University –Bangladesh

American International University –Bangladesh (AIUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Project Management Institute (PMI) Bangladesh Chapter on November 09, 2021 at its main campus. In this joint collaboration, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of AIUB and PMI Bangladesh Chapter will work on mutually beneficial activities that will contribute toward furthering the goals of each organization. Dr. Tazul Islam (Dean in-charge, FBA), Dr. Nisar Ahmed (Director, MBA program), Annesha Ahmed (President, PMI Bangladesh Chapter) and few other senior faculty members and delegates from the Chapter were present in this occasion.

Founded in 1969, PMI is the leading global association for project management professionals working with businesses and academia to exchange knowledge and world-class practices in this sphere. With in excess of more than 255 members, Bangladesh Chapter is one of the fastest growing chapters in South Asia. Run by volunteers, the chapter provides the means for members to meet with peers from various industries and improve their project management knowledge and skills through monthly events, special workshops, research publications and many other knowledge building events. In recent times, importance of project management has grown significantly in various domains and encompasses a broad range of skills—managerial, leadership, interpersonal—that are much different from and independent of skills associated with technical competency.  Realizing this potential, PMI Bangladesh Chapter and FBA will leverage the knowledge, skills, and experience for the design and delivery of skill-based initiatives for improving the project management competencies of the students and staffs of both organizations in the upcoming days.
