A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) and the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB), Romania was signed on 28th June 2022 with the objective of academic and research collaborations. Both AIUB and UPB agreed to develop several collaborative activities like joint research and development projects, lecture series, symposia, international conferences, exchange of students, academic and administrative staffs, etc. The MoU will be valid for the three years with an intention to renew every 3 years.

On behalf of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of AIUB Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering signed the MoU from AIUB and Professor Horia NECULA, Vice-Rector for International Relations signed for UPB. Mr. Manzur H. Khan, Director, Office of Student Affairs & Associate Professor, Computer Science, AIUB, Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Head (CoE), Special Assistant (OSA) & Associate Professor, FE, AIUB, Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Associate Professor and Special Assistant (OSA), FE, AIUB, and Dr. Gabriela Nicolta SAVA, Research Associate, Department of Energy Engineering, UPB were present at that time.

Both institutes exchanged token of appreciations at the end of the MoU signing ceremony. Dr. Rahman, Mr. Manzur, Mr. Akram and Mr. Saniat from AIUB recently visited University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB), Romania from June 26 to July 2, 2022 under the Erasmus+ KA107 exchange program.
