MoU between AIUB and University of Trento (UniTN)
A
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between American
International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) and University of Trento
(UniTN), Italy on 17th
February 2014. Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna and
Honorable Rector Prof. Daria de Pretis singed the MoU on behalf of the
respective institutions. The Addendum to the MoU has been signed by
Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain and Prof. Gian Pietro Picco
on behalf of the Department of Computer Science and the Department of
Information Engineering and Computer Science respectively which will
remain effective for the next five years.
For
the purpose of promoting cultural, educational and scientific
cooperation, the University of Trento (Italy) and the American
International University - Bangladesh
herewith stipulate this Memorandum of Understanding with the objective
of encouraging exchanges between the two institutions in the field of
education, scientific research, and culture.
Both Universities shall undertake the following:
a)
Cooperation directed to scientific research activities in the areas of
shared interest. In this context the parties involved shall inform each
other in due time
concerning conferences, symposia and other scientific and cultural
activities favoring participation by their representatives;
b) Exchange of scientific, educational and significant publications relevant to the areas of mutual cooperation;
c) Activation of two types of academic staff mobility for study and research purposes;
d) Exchange of postgraduate (PhD), graduate and undergraduate students;
e) Types of collaboration other than those indicated above.
The
signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Mashiour Rahman, Director
(Science & IT), Dr. Tabin Hasan, Head (Graduate Program, Computer
Science) and Mr. Mohammad
Saiedur Rahaman (Special Assistant, Computer Science).
