MMC students visit Maasranga television

A total 22 students of Television Production course, department of Media and Mass Communication, paid a visit to Maasranga television on November 24, 2011. The goal of this course is to allow the students to expand their understanding of practical techniques and procedures of television production.

Syed Fahim Munaim, the chief executive officer (CEO) and chief editor of Maasranga, gave a talk on editorial policy, various programs and news that authentically highlights the history, culture and ongoing development of Bangladesh. Mr Dalim, Head of the program department, said “this is the first Bangladeshi TV channel to broadcast in HD (high definition) format -- ensuring high resolution, clearer, life-like images”. It was informative and interactive discussion session. Mr Dailm showed the students how the newsroom, production department, program depart work together to run the whole TV station.

From this visit students acquired knowledge and skills in news preparation, presentation, anchoring, interviewing and reporting on camera; and also gain practical experience in tv production, camera work, non-linear digital editing, visual and audio mixing.
