The Department of Media and Mass Communication (MMC) of AIUB organized an Orientation Programme on Monday, 05 October 2015 at the Media studio (level 13), campus-7 for the newly admitted students of Fall 2015-16.

Ms Farhana Afroz , Head of the MMC department welcomed the new students. In her short speech, Ms Afroz  said that students of MMC will be provided with opportunities to work on real problems provided by media industry, to be taught by Scholars and media professionals and to visit media business environment that develop and employ media and communication technologies.  We are always on students side and look forward to celebrating their success she added.

As a sign of gratitude, a flower bouquet was presented to Dr Alam by Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean FASS. After that, Prof. Dr. Alam elaborated the career opportunities of Media in local and global job markets. He also called upon the new students to dream and to be courageous. Dr. Alam briefing was followed by a lively question answer session, where the students asked a wide range of questions regarding new major, major in TV Production and 3D Animation, which will be offered from next semester.

The new faculties were  received bouquet from the dept. Head and  were given a very warm welcome to the MMC family of AIUB. Finally, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam concluded the program with an enlightening note. A beautiful cultural prgram like group dance, group song and solo song were performed by the students. Apart from the students, new faculty members, staffs of MMC department were present on the occasion. The Orientation program was organized and coordinated by Ms Farhana Afroz.
