Wordsmith’s Pen, an artistic and creative wall magazine has been published by the students of English Department under the supervision of Department of English on 25 March 2015 and is on display in the ground floor at FASS Building of AIUB. A number of creative writings in English such as short stories and poems written by the students of different departments of AIUB are included in Wordsmith’s Pen. It has been decorated by most of the natural elements to feel the touch of nature as one of the vital themes of literature.  The purpose of Wordsmith’s Pen is to give the young creative writers a floor for the exposure of their creative faculty and motivate them to understand the importance of literature and realize it to their daily life. Moreover, it will engage students in extracurricular activity in their leisure time in and outside campus. The plan is to publish the magazine every semester with new contents and themes. The editorial board for Wordsmith’s Pen comprises the students of AIUB Sheikh Mobashar Ahmed, Tania Rahman and Bushra Sarmin Zaman. The honorable Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam inaugurated Wordsmith’s Pen and encouraged the students for this good initiative. On the occasion, Mr. M Hamidul Haque, the head of the Department English, Dr. Ahmed Neaz, the head of MPH, Mr. Shawkat Ali, the head of Economics, and Mr. Asif Kamal, an adviser of Wordsmith’s Pen were also present and encouraged students to continue with this initiative ahead. Contributors of the writings along with the students of the Department of English were also present in the launching of Wordsmith’s Pen. List of the writings includes:
