On November 8, 2018, the Faculty of Business Administration organized a joint awarding ceremony in honor of the BBA, MBA and EMBA students who excelled in their academic performance during the concluded Spring Semester, 2017-2018. Based on the following criteria, the students were carefully assessed to enable them to quality for these prestigious academic awards:
DEAN’S LIST CRITERIA (Undergraduate Program)
- Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.75 during any Regular Academic Semester.
- Eligibility: Minimum Credit Hours completed 24.
- Minimum Credit Load during on that Semester 14/15 Credit Hours.
- No Grade Point (GP) less than 3.25 in any course in previous record.
- No F, no W, no UW or no I grade in any course in previous record.
- No disciplinary action has been taken for not complying with AIUB policy.
DEAN’S HONORABLE MENTION CRITERIA (Graduate Program)
- Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.85 during any Regular Academic Semester.
- Minimum total load completed 18 Credit Hours.
- Minimum Credit Load during on that Semester 14/15 Credit Hours.
- No Grade Point (GP) less than 3.25 in any course in previous record.
- No F, no W, no UW or no I grade in any course in previous record.
- No disciplinary action has been taken for not complying with AIUB policy.
There were 54 BBA students who successfully met the criteria while 37 from the MBA and 24 from EMBA. It was a significant event in the lives of these students to be recognized and awarded a Certificate of Recognition. They can use these certificates as a proof of their academic excellence whenever they will apply for a job or pursue higher studies. In addition to the welcome and inspirational message of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva. A representative from the each categories delivered a response message. They both expressed their deep appreciation for the honor bestowed on them and encourage the other awardees to continue excelling in their studies. Likewise, a reminder to express gratitude to the parents for their sustainable support and the faculty who are the sources of knowledge and other learning domains in their studies was mentioned by the Director of the MBA program, Dr. Nisar Ahmed. The event was made more significant with the presence of the faculty members and other key officials of FBA particularly the Dean of FASS, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam. Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director, BBA Program concluded the event with a Vote of Thanks to the students, faculty and management for a successful and a fruitful day for all the awardees.
