“Internship Clinic” for Interns of Spring 2016-2017 write up

Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA) organized an “Internship Clinic” for Interns of Spring 2016-2017 workshop on the 2nd February, 2017, held in the AIUB Auditorium. The workshop was divided into two slots. Slot 1 being conducted by Aamra Companies, an amalgamation of businesses focused towards catalyzing the modernization of Bangladesh by providing technology driven solutions. Slot 2 being conducted by IPDC Finance Limited, the first private sector financial institution of the country. The program started with a welcome speech by the Director of OPA, Mr. R. Tareque Moudud. The guests were also welcomed by Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director MBA Program of the University. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, in his speech, highlighted the various rules and regulations which need to be complied with by the interns at their place of internship as well as in writing the internship report.

The floor was open after the introduction of Mr. Ajeyo Rohitashwo Al Quazi, Group Chief People Officer, Mr. Abdullah Al Maruf, Assistant General Manager (HR &OD) and Ms. Sumi Ghosh, Sr. Executive from Aamra Companies in the first slot. Ms. Gulnaz Alam, Head of Human Resources and Mr. Ahashanuzzaman Shujan, Manager Human Resources from IPDC Finance Limited were our guests in the second slot. Discussions focused on preparing a resume, facing an interview, general discussions about life and decorum in the corporate sector and pointers that are considered vital to make our students better equipped to face the corporate sector.

At the end of each session, the guest speakers answered questions asked by the students. Each session was well attended by the interns. The Programs concluded with the distribution of gifts to the guests, as a token of appreciation.
