International Faculty and Student Exchange Program

The internationalization program through partnership of AIUB and University of Gavle, Sweden commenced last 21 January 2012. The exchange program under the Linnaeus-Palme Program provides opportunities for both universities to exchange students and faculty members. The 2 faculty members, Mr. Tomas Kallquist, MBA and Prof. Dr. Akmal S. Hyder will stay in AIUB for about 3 weeks. They will participate in the Team Teaching Approach of selected courses in the Faculty of Business Administration and conduct seminars for the faculty. They will also organize meetings with the students particularly on internship program. Aside from these two faculty, 2 students, Albin Erikson and Rasmus Gustafsson have also arrived from the same university to study for one semester taking courses under the BBA program. As an exchange, AIUB will send Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowhury, Director of the BBA Program and Ms. Farheen Hassan, Head, Department of Management, to University of Gavle for about 3 weeks sometime in March –April 2012. Two students from AIUB also are expected to join Dr. Ehsan for a semester study in University of Gavle in the business education program. Dr. Maria Fregidou-Malama, Asst. Professor, Department of Business and Economic Studies, University of Gavle is coordinating the program in coordination with Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business, AIUB and Dr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhurry. AIUB through the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, the Founders, Board of Trustees and the academic community convey its appreciation and utmost thanks for this development partnership in promoting the programs and culture of both universities and countries. AIUB is looking forward to the success of this exchange program and its expansion and continuation of this international academic cooperation in the ensuing years.
