Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, the VC, as the outgoing Treasurer of the International Association of the University Presidents together with Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, VP for International Affairs represented the University in the triennial conference of the association in Pacifico Yokohama, Japan on June 11-14, 2014 with the theme “Creating the Future of Higher Education”.   Every 3 years, the IAUP sponsors its triennial conference, this time with 400 delegates all over the world.  The conference provided a venue for interaction with other university presidents and global leaders of various institutions and organizations. Dr. Lamagna chaired a session on the sub theme “Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement and Innovation in Higher Education.” During the conference, the full IAUP membership convenes in the General Assembly for the presidency transitions for the next 3 years.  Dr. Lamagna is an ex-officio member of the IAUP Board of Directors and an executive committee member for the period 2014-2017
