On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering (FE), American International University-Bangladesh organized an industrial visit to PRAN Industrial Park, PRAN Group, located in Ghorashal, Narsingdi. The visit was intended for students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE). The purpose of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to real-world industrial operation, production and manufacturing and to help them connect academic knowledge with real-world engineering practices.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Md. Shaoran Sayem (Lecturer, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering). Mr. Sanaul Haque (Lecturer, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering), also accompanied the students as a faculty member and assisted Md. Shaoran Sayem throughout the visit.
Permission for the visit was graciously facilitated by Md. Eleash Mridha (Managing Director of PRAN Group) and Shudipta Davnath Antu (Sub Assistant Manager HRM, Pran Group), both of whom extended their kind support in making the visit possible. The entire visit was coordinated and guided by Md. Tanul Islam (Chief Plant Officer (CPO), Pran Industrial Park, Pran Group). The program commenced with a technical presentation delivered by Md. Jahidur Rahman (Assistant Manager of Compliance Department, Pran-RFL Group) highlighting industrial production, electrical systems, automation, and maintenance practices. Subsequently, the students toured the factory facilities under the supervision of PRAN Group officials, gaining practical insights into manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, and real-world engineering applications.
The visit culminated in a guided tour of the food production facilities at PRAN Industrial Park, where students observed industrial production processes, electrical systems, automation technologies, machinery, and maintenance practices. The experience provided valuable practical insights into the application of engineering principles in large-scale food manufacturing, enhancing students’ technical knowledge and understanding of real-world industrial operations. An interactive discussion followed, allowing students to engage with professionals and clarify their queries.
As a gesture of appreciation, tokens of appreciation were presented to the officials of PRAN Industrial Park in recognition of their valuable support and cooperation. The event concluded with closing remarks and a group photo marking the successful completion of the industrial study tour.
