Industrial Training for EEE Students at TICI Arranged by the Department of EEE

An industrial training for the Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) students at Training Institute for Chemical Industries (TICI), Polash, Narshindhi arranged by the Department of EEE has been successfully completed. For the Sixth time, 35 students participated in the four weeks training program based on the course “Industrial Technology on Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation” which included Electrical Instrumentation, Process Control, PLC, DCS, Protection, Safety etc.
The training was arranged by Mr. Arman Riaz Ochi, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE.  Prof. Dr.  A.B.M. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Abdur Rahman, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering & Director, Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chishty, Asst. Professor, Faculty of Engineering& Special Asst., Department of EEE, and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of EEE and Special Assistant , OSA have given continuous support for the arrangement of this industrial training.
Six faculty members of EEE Department: Mr. Arman Riaz Ochi, Mr. Mohammad Shafquatul Islam, Mr. Abu Hena Md. Shatil, Mr. Abu Qauser Marowan, Mr.  Hafiz Rakibul and Mr.  Kazi Muhammad Jameel took part in the inauguration ceremony of this training on 1st  February, 2014. The faculty members visited the important labs of TICI. Students were encouraged by the visit of the faculty members. Faculty members also gathered practical knowledge about process control, automation etc.
Duration of this industrial training was 4 weeks from 1 February, 2014 to 26 February, 2014. At the end of the training the performances of the students were evaluated by TICI according to their grading system. 25 out of 35 students achieved A+ and the remaining students achieved A grade in this training. This training created a link between the university, industry and professional training institute.
