Industrial Tour to Energypac Engineering Ltd. Organized by the AIUB ‎Confederacy of Engineering Students (ACES)

On 3rd of April 2014, AIUB Confederacy of Engineering Students (ACES) organized their 1st Industrial Tour to “Energypac Engineering Ltd.” located at Baruipara, Savar as a part of their regular field experience program. A group of very enthusiastic ACES members from EEE department, 40 in number were accompanied by 4 faculty members from EEE department of AIUB. Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Ms. Abanti Shama Afroz, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Asif Ahmed, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering & Mr. Md. Ismail Hossain, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering were present at this tour. The team departed from Campus-2 at around 9.00 am in the morning. “We will be the most preferred business partner of our customers”, with this Vision Energypac is one of the leading power engineering companies in Bangladesh. Continual research and development, state of the art production facility, quality products, competent services, and countrywide operations have made it warmly acceptable to the customers. Energypac was incorporated in 1982 as a private limited business enterprise. After the establishment this company’s main mission is to provide total power solutions & to enhance the business of their customers, concurrently creating better technologies that benefit both the customers and the environment. Generally, it is powered by 1200 skilled manpower of which 150 are graduated engineers. The relentless effort and dedication of these people are providing continual help to improve technology to innovate and develop new products, just in time delivery, pre and post sales services to maintain a long term business relationship with the customers. On arrival the students were divided into four groups & experienced different units of the factory to have a close view of Switchgear Plant, Power Transformer Plant, Distribution Transformer Plant, VCB, CT, PT, CRT and Isolator Plant along with quality assurance process in different testing labs that was explained by the factory engineers named Eng. Md. Sadiqur  Rahman, Eng. Mr. Tauhidul  Islam, Eng. Mr. Soumitra Das, Eng. Mr. Nafiul Islam & Eng. Mr. Ataul Goni. In each plant the students tried to gather more & more practical knowledge. The question and answer session provided good insight of these important electrical & electronic products. On the whole, the trip was an excellent opportunity for the students of EEE department to find practical applications. At the end of the tour, Mr. Moinul Islam, Deputy Manager, Energypac Engineering Ltd. talked with the tour team & also praised AIUB Confederacy of Engineering Students (ACES) for their initiatives and considered to aid initiating further events like this in the future.
