On Thursday, October 23^rd, 2025, the IEEE AIUB Student Branch and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), successfully organized the IEEE Flagship Event named Student Professional Awareness Venture (SPAVe) for the 8^th time since 2016. SPAVe 8.0 aimed to enhance the academic knowledge of engineering students relating to the field of professional experiences by sharing the expertise of academia and Industry Professionals from various sectors.

The program was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman SMIEEE, Pro VC, AIUB delivering the significance and importance of this program to students following the enlightening speech by Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain SMIEEE, Dean, FE, AIUB. After that a total of seven distinguished speakers from Academia and Industry conducted very effective sessions connecting professional and academic sector with the development of AI in next generation. Dr. Gour Chand Mazumder, Asst. Prof., Dept. of EEE, AIUB delivered a session on renewable energy resource assessment tools and renewable energy research aspects in Bangladesh. After this, Mr. Imdadul Islam, Head of Product, NetCom Learning Bangladesh, conducted next session focusing on how AI is transforming the modern workplaces via communication and collaboration. After this an interactive idea generation competition took place among the student participants followed by an encouraging speech and winning declaration by Dr. M Tanseer Ali, Asso. Prof., Dept. of CoE, FE, AIUB, Secretary, IEEE BDS. Then Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz SMIEEE, Dept. of EEE, BUET, IEEE WIE Chair, Member IEEE NIC, presented a very informative session on Women Shaping the Future of Engineering. Then Prof. Dr.  Shaikh A. Fattah SMIEEE, Dept. of EEE, BUET, delivered a session on next generation AI technologies with problem identifying and proposal suggesting sessions with participants. Then Ms. Moon Sadia Dipthee, Director, Ulkasemi Pvt. Ltd. presented an inspiring session showing her journey through semiconductor industry. Continuing the inspiration Mr. Chandra Moni Sagar, Head of Software, PlayOn24, talked about the transformation of engineering disciplines and integrating in entrepreneurial ecosystem. After a daylong event the students attended a very interesting and engaging session delivered by a market leader, Mr. Sabbir Hasan Nasir, Managing Director, ACI Logistics Ltd. Then the whole-day event comes to an end with the valuable and enlightening remarks made by Prof. Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan SMIEEE, Director, FE, AIUB, Advisor, IEEE AIUB Student Branch. Then the token of appreciation was presented to all the Speakers followed by the certificate giving ceremony to the winning teams of the Idea Generation Competition. Before the curtain fall, the students from IEEE AIUB Student Branch performed enthralling music on stage, enjoyed by all.

The event started at 9:00 AM and concluded at 7:00 PM (GMT +6).  A total of 180 participants, mostly IEEE Student members, attended the program. The honorable faculty members from faculty of engineering were present at the event.
