IEEE AIUB STUDENT BRANCH PRESENTS SEMINAR on ‘KNOWLEDGE SHARE OF ENGINEERING IN THE FIELD’

To brighten the minds with the glimpse of light of engineering knowledge, IEEE AIUB STUDENT BRANCH organized a seminar entitled ‘Knowledge share of engineering in the field’ on 2^nd April, 2014at Campus-2. Knowledge, the vital need of human nature, enhances more than it is spread rather keeping it into themselves. The motive of this seminar was to prepare and aware students in advance after they graduate from the university. The seminar was initiated with a charm welcome from Mr. Rethwan Faiz, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering who himself  took the honor  to introduce four successful, experienced and prosperous alumnus of the EEE department from different engineering fields. Ms. Nurhan Jaigirdar(Senior Sales Engineer, Kaltimex Energy Bangladesh),Ms. Elisun Ali (Design Engineer (R&D), Adex Corporation Ltd), Mr. Muhammad Faheem Faruq (Project Engineer, Faruq M&E Consultants) and Mr. Ahmed Shaeek (Junior Engineer, Mott Macdonalds Bangladesh) were the respective speakers of the event who gave adequate knowledge of capability to work in practical life. They shared their experiences related to the fields they are working with and added the logistics , methods in working with the various sectors of power solution companies, power developing companies and energy resources companies.They also emphasized the need of excellence in fluent speaking of English, competency in working with AutoCad and Microsoft Office etc beside engineering knowledge, and practical experiences related to these fields.The speech was delivered with the help multimedia to share vast examples and logical methods of doings after graduating. The seminar was graced by the presence of Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Associate Professor& Director, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Associate Professor & Head (Undergraduate Program),Department of  EEE, Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering & Special Asst., OSA, Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering & Special Asst., OSA.The informative event came to an end with the certificate distribution to acknowledge the speakers’ contribution & to show ardent gratitude for their informative speech. The closing statements were delivered by Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman and Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan where they thanked the speakers and IEEE AIUB student branch for taking this initiative and emphasized on the usefulness of practical knowledge in the field of engineering.
