IEEE AIUB STUDENT BRANCH ORGANIZED “INDUSTRIAL TOUR TO ENERGYPAC LTD.”

On 14th November, 2015; IEEE AIUB student branch visited Energypac Transformer Factory, at Ashulia. The transformer is a device used to step up or step down voltages. It is a vital part of any power grid. This industrial tour was organized for the members to learn the intricate details of the manufacturing process of the transformer.

Mr. Mahbub, Manager, Switchgear division, Energypac; and his team lead the tour of the factory. Amongst the places visited by the group were switch and isolator plant, coil winding plant, distribution transformer plant, testing plant, instrument transformer plant, switch gear plant and cast resin transformer plant. Throughout the tour, information was delivered in a concise manner, to allow the student to understand it correctly.

Sajid Hossain, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, Ms. Sadia Yasmin, lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, Mr. Kazi Ahmed Asif Fuad, Teaching Assistant, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB; accompanied the students in the tour of the factory. A total of 55 IEEE AIUB student branch members took part in this industrial tour.
