The world is currently going through an epidemic of COVID-19 and as a result, people are staying at home as per instructions of the government. Keeping that in mind, IEEE AIUB Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE AIUB Student Branch WIE Affinity Group has successfully organized an online Article Writing Contest only for female participants on the topic "Save the World from an Epidemic (COVID-19)". The contest started from 31st March 2020, intending to raise awareness among the participants about this global crisis as well as boosting their skills of writing.
Initially, the deadline for the contest was 7th April 2020, but due to an enormous response from the participants, the deadline was extended till 11th April 2020. More than 40 participants from all over Bangladesh and also three different foreign countries participated in this competition. Through their writing, participants shared their ideas of how social awareness can be created for preventing this epidemic. Also, participants shared their thoughts about the ways the world can overcome this crisis.
The judgements of the writings were made based on different criteria which included Creative ideas, Grammatical efficiency, Literacy on the topic, and Relevance with facts. Based on these criteria, the top 3 write-ups provided by the participants achieved the “Best Articles” award. These three participants were provided with some exciting gifts and Certificate of Appreciation. The names of the top 3 achievers along with their institutions’ names are mentioned below-

- Ananya Mahbub Sanchita, University of Asia Pacific
The top 3 write-ups were published on the official website of IEEE AIUB Student Branch. Moreover, all other participants were also provided with Certificate of Participation for their enthusiastic engagement in the contest.
