IEEE AIUB Student Branch in association with the Erasmus Mundus Association successfully organized a webinar titled ‘AIUBIANS ON ERASMUS’ in celebration of the EMA DAY 2020. The webinar was conducted by the alumni of AIUB who achieved the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for their post-graduation. The speakers focused on the scopes of achieving the esteemed scholarship for higher education.

The first session was conducted by Mr. Nafis Kamal, Postgraduate Student, Erasmus+ Joint Master's degree (EMJMD) in Security and Cloud Computing, who started by introducing himself and sharing his experience with Erasmus+ program on security and cloud computing. He talked about the application procedure and discussed how the participants can ensure to be a better candidate for the selection process. After that, the second speaker, Ms. Tulsi Chowdhury, Hardware Subproject Leader, Bosch Magyarország; Postgraduate Student, Erasmus+ Joint Master's degree in Smart Systems Integration, took the platform and introduced the Erasmus+ program on Smart Systems Integration (SSI+). She described the program along with the application process. After that, Mr. S. M. Mukit, EMJMD, Photonic Integrated Circuits, Sensors, and Networks; Mr. Mrinmoy Roy, EMJMD, Photonic Integrated Circuits, Sensors and Networks; Mr. Siam Hasan Khan, EMJMD, Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power System (STEPS); Mr. Irfan Yousuf, EMJMD, Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power System (STEPS) and Mr. Miftah Mahmood, EMJMD, Europhotonics, took the platform one after another and elaborately described their respective study programs. They shared details about the application procedures along with their own experiences.  Later, Mr. Akib Jayed Islam, EMJMD, Color in Science and Industry; Mr. Masum Ahmed, Smart Cities & Communities; Mr. Tajwar Abrar Aleef, EMJMD, Medical Imaging and Applications; Mr. Anindo Saha, EMJMD, MAIA and Mr. Kazi Ahmed Asif Fuad, EMJMD, IPCV; Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB took the platform and discussed the application processes of their respective programs and shared their experiences regarding the programs with Erasmus+. They encouraged the participants to apply for the program by pointing out some key benefits they have experienced. 

Lastly, an interactive Q/A session took place where the speakers answered the questions from the participants. The concluding speech was delivered by Mr. Rajon Bhuiyan and Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker, EMJMD, Molecular Nano and Bio-Photonics for Telecommunications and Biotechnologies, who thanked the speakers for conducting the session and encouraged the participants to apply by pointing out about the success of many alumni from AIUB with the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree.
