On 12th of October, 2019 IEEE AIUB Student Branch was crowned as the champion of the “Inter IEEE Student Branch Football Fiesta”, organized by the IEEE NSU Student Branch as a celebration of the IEEE Day-2019. In the tournament, a total of 6 teams from different IEEE Student Branches of renowned universities including two teams from North South University (NSU) and one team each from University of Liberal Arts-Bangladesh (ULAB), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), Independent University-Bangladesh (IUB) and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) played against each other and IEEE AIUB Student Branch successfully lifted the trophy for the third time in three consecutive years.

On 30th October 2019, the closing and prize-giving ceremony of IEEE Day-2019 celebration of IEEE NSU Student Branch was held at the North-South University (NSU) premises. Prof. Atique Islam, Vice-Chancellor, NSU along with Dr. M Ismail Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, NSU; Prof. Dr. Javed Bari, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Science, NSU; Prof. Dr. Kazi Mohammad Abdus Salam, Chair, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NSU; handed over the trophy to Mashrur Sakib Choyon, Captain, IEEE AIUB Student Branch Football Team and his team members. Medals were also awarded to all the other squad members of the team which includes Rofiul Haque Robin, K. M. A. Raafi, Muntasir Rahman Mahin, Haque Albab, Shahriar Aqib Khan, Fahim Tridip, Araf Mustakin, Moin Uddin and Sadman Sakib Rafat. Some representatives of IEEE AIUB Student Branch were also present to receive the trophy with the team
