On 30^th December 2015 the IEEE Bangladesh Section Annual Dinner 2015 took place, at Central Cafeteria, Main Campus, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. This annual event hosts members from all student branches under the section, for a night of celebration, networking and recognition of extraordinary effort. More than 50 student members from IEEE AIUB student branch attended the event and actively interacted with members and representatives of different student branches.

Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan, Founding Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section; took the stage to deliver the opening remarks. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chair, WIE affinity group, IEEE Bangladesh Section followed, who delivered an inspirational speech to encourage members even further. She thanked the volunteers who contributed in the successful completion of IEEE WIECON-ECE 2015 including Mahmudul Haque Jishan, Vice-Chairperson, IEEE AIUB SB. Afterwards Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section; delivered his speech in which he thanked the volunteers who made exceptional efforts in the IEEE Region 10 Meeting in Dhaka, Bangladesh including with Nasim Al Islam, Chairperson, IEEE AIUB SB; Mahmudul Haque Jishan, Vice-Chairperson, IEEE AIUB SB and Mohammad Taufiquzzaman, Former Chairperson, IEEE AIUB SB.

After the dinner IEEE Bangladesh Section Awards ceremony for the year 2014 took place. IEEE AIUB Student Branch won the Best Student Branch Award 2014. Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah praised the branch highly for their large active student body, numerous quality events and excellent branch reporting. Mohammad Taufiquzzaman, Former Chairperson, IEEE AIUB student branch won the Best Student Volunteer Award 2014. Nasim Al Islam, Chairperson, IEEE AIUB SB accepted the award on his behalf.
