The Department of Architecture, AIUB extends its heartiest congratulations to Ar. Bayezid Mahbub Khandaker, on the outstanding achievement of winning the RIBA [Royal Institute of British Architects] International Prize 2026. He is the Principal Architect of Nakshabid Architects and a Guest Teacher from Profession at Architecture Department since 2025.

The recognition of the Green Field Factory of Karupannya Rangpur Limited (designed by Nakshabid Architects) by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) celebrates an architectural vision that brings together contextual sensitivity, environmental responsiveness, and the well-being of its users.

This remarkable accomplishment is a moment of immense pride for Bangladesh and its architectural community. His achievement inspires our students and demonstrates how locally rooted design thinking can contribute meaningfully to the global architectural discourse.

We are honored to have him on our team at AIUB and believe that his contribution as Design Studio teacher is very valuable for our students in the architecture department.

We wish him continued success and many more inspiring contributions to architecture and the built environment.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!
