Hasan Imam Shiplu, the graphics editor at The Daily Star, shared his experience with the class of Newspaper Design, Makeup and Desktop Publishing, at the Department of Media and Mass Communication (MMC), on Thursday, March 31, 2016. 
He particularly spoke on the role of a graphics artist in newspaper design, importance of teamwork, and deadlines. “Good graphics attracts readers,” he said. Mr. Shiplu said graphics designing was a creative work. “There are no rules, no barriers. But you have to learn the basics first.” 
The guest gave a patient hearing to the curious students and answered their queries.
