American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) hosted a grand reception to celebrate its Football Team following their championship victory at the Ispahani Prothom Alo Inter University Football Tournament 2025.

The event was more than a formal ceremony. It was a celebration of grit, teamwork, and a winning mindset that defined the team’s journey throughout the tournament. Match after match, the players demonstrated discipline, tactical maturity, and unwavering determination, ultimately lifting the championship trophy and bringing immense pride to the AIUB community.

The reception was attended by Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; and Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports. In their remarks, they commended the team’s commitment and sportsmanship, emphasizing that true education extends beyond classrooms. They highlighted how achievements in sports reflect leadership, resilience, and character qualities that shape future leaders. During the ceremony, the champions were presented with flowers, crests, gift packs, and prize money in recognition of their outstanding accomplishment.

The Office of Sports, AIUB expressed sincere appreciation to the university management for their continuous encouragement of athletic excellence. Special gratitude was conveyed to Ms. Nadia Anwar, Chairman and Founder Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB for her constant support and visionary leadership in promoting sports development at AIUB. Her patronage continues to inspire student-athletes to aim higher and perform with confidence.
