Grand Finale of the Marketing Plan Competition – Spring 2022-2023

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB organized the Grand Finale and Prize Giving Ceremony of the competitive event entitled ‘Marketing Plan Competition – Spring 2022-2023’ for the students of Principles of Marketing course of the BBA Program on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The top 7 teams from 7 different sections participated in this round and presented their final marketing plans on the respective products, brands, and the organizations. A panel of judges consists of both academicians and corporate representatives evaluated the respective teams’ performance based on their critical thinking, & situation analysis; creative ideas, innovative recommendations, & business feasibility; and presentation skills, & overall team spirit etc. Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director, Office of Placement & Alumni, AIUB; Mr. Sajid Mahbub, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Editor, Bangladesh Brand Forum; and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA were the distinguished members of the jury board.

The program started with the welcome speech from Professor Dr. Partha Prashad Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing and THM, FBA. And it was also graced and formally inaugurated with inspirational words by Prof. Dr. Farheen Hassan, Associate Dean, FBA, AIUB. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Associate Professor and Director, Graduate Programs, FBA concluded the program by motivating the students to participate in such events organized by the FBA, AIUB and excel in their academic preparations. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Associate Professor and Director, Undergraduate Program, FBA attended the event and shared her valuable speech both to the participating students and the faculty members. Among others Department Heads, Faculty Members from Marketing and other departments were also present and appreciated the efforts of the participating students. At the end, the judges and the organizers declared the winners of the event and presented Crests, Certificates, and Gifts to the 3 winning teams’ members.

Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Sr. Asst. Professor; and Ms. Shama Islam, Asst. Professor, coordinated the event in association with all the Team Teachers of the unified course ‘Principles of Marketing’, including Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Dr. Sahin Akter Sarker, Dr. Yesmin Sultana, Associate Professors; and Mr.  Mahudul Hasan, Lecturer, Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB.

The Department of Marketing, FBA would also like to thank Mr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, and Director, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB; and AIUB Administration to provide all types of administrative and logistical support in arranging and successfully conclude this event.
