American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Grameenphone Ltd. entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 26, 2015 with the view of fostering academic & professional co-operation.  Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh and Mr. Syed Tanvir Husain, Director, Center of Expertise People & Organization of Grameenphone Ltd. signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of their respective organizations. The MOU highlights various areas of cooperation in the fields of students’ placement, assistance for academic research, mutual sharing of experts for the benefit of the two parties of the MOU. The agreement also covers the granting of certain facilities to employees of GP wishing to take up MBA and EMBA in American International University-Bangladesh. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr.R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director, Office of Placement & Alumni, Mr. Md. Lutfar Rahman Director PR, Legal & Int’l Affairs & Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director MBA Program of American International University-Bangladesh. GP Officials who attended the Program are Mr. Mohammad Naimuzzaman, GM, Leadership & People Development Center of Expertise People & Organization, Mr. Syed Masud Mahmood, Employer Branding Manager Center of Expertise People & Organization,Grameenphone Ltd. There are other development programs and projects discussed which can boost the organizations but this would require further elaboration and separate MoU. Both sides expressed optimism that this laudable undertaking would mutually benefit AIUB and Grameenphone Ltd. In the immediate future.
