On the 11th of September ’14, American International University – Bangladesh [AIUB] held their General Meeting for the running semester, Fall ’14-’15, at the AIUB Auditorium. The honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, presided over the meeting, introducing the new Chairman of the Trustee Board, Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin to all the faculty members. He expressed his drive and determination for AIUB to continue its pursuit as one of the best private universities in the country. He emphasized on taking it to new heights in the years to come, upholding the legacy of his late father and former Chairman, Dr. Anwarul Abedin. The Vice President of Academics and Dean-in-charge of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, along with the Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, and the Registrar, Prof. M.A. Quaiyum, also shared their thoughts on the occasion. The Associate Deans, Directors and Department Heads were also present at the meeting. Everyone was wished good luck on having a prosperous semester ahead and was encouraged to work towards a progressive future for the university.
