The Tourism and Hospitality Program(THM) of the American International University-Bangladesh got a boost when Galesia Hotel & Resort Ltd signed an MoU  between the two organizations . The Galecia Hotel is located few steps away from Bldgs. 5 and 4 of the university which is very convenient for the THM major students  to undertake practical exercise such as hands on training, day to day observation of the operation, internship placement and temporary or part-time engagement. It will provide opportunities to THM  faculty members  and students to participate in various development programs for synergetic  sharing of knowledge, skills and actual experiences.   In addition to these academic related privileges, Galecia Hotel is also offering a number of discounts to AIUB’s employees and foreign visitors such as 60% percent for hotel accommodation, 25% for dining and entertainment at their restaurants and many others. The students and employees can avail of 5% discount to their Daily Delight and Burger Street. On the other hand, AIUB shall extend special package discounts of 30%  to at least 3 Galecia’s employees who are desirous to enroll in the MBA/EMBA programs while 10% tuition fee waiver afforded to the sibling , wife/husband of the employees who are also interested to enroll in AIUB. The Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration signed the MoU on behalf of AIUB while Eng. Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Managing Director on behalf of Galecia Hotel & Resort Ltd. The event was witnessed by the Honorable  Vice Chancellor of AIUB and other senior officials of the two organizations. Each side is optimistic to the success of this partnership.
