As part of the ongoing "Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series," a regular initiative by the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), an insightful seminar titled "Cybersecurity Skills Workforce for Current Market Needs" took place on August 6, 2023, at the AIUB auditorium. The event was organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology to honor AIUB's visionary Founder Chairman, Dr. Anwarul Abedin, whose contributions have significantly transformed the country's educational landscape.

The distinguished speaker for this session was Dr. Shareeful Islam, an Associate Professor specializing in Cybersecurity at the School of Computing and Information Science, Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom. Additionally, he serves as a senior security consultant at Security Labs Consulting Ltd. Dr. Islam shared his extensive knowledge on cybersecurity with the attendees, followed by a brief Q&A session.

Closing the session, Senior Associate Professor Mashiour Rahman, the honorable Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at AIUB, delivered closing remarks. He also presented a token of appreciation to the distinguished speaker, emphasizing AIUB's commitment to highlighting the significance of cybersecurity knowledge in the modern era. The session was moderated by Dr. Md. Abdullah - Al - Jubair, the Director of the Faculty of Science and Technology, AIUB, and coordinated by Dr. Akinul Islam Jony, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science. Faculty members, officials, and students attended the event and greatly benefited from the informative session.
