Like every semester, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) organized the orientation session for the freshman students of Summer 2020-21 of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Saturday, 5 June 2021 at 4 PM. The orientation was held in the Microsoft Teams Online platform. AIUB is the first private university of the country to transform all its operations in the online platform after the pandemic had started and have already successfully completed 4 semesters in the online platform. There were two parallel online sessions where the newly admitted freshman students were briefed about the rules and regulations of the university along with the procedures of successfully utilizing the online platform for their classes in the upcoming days amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Freshmen students were highly appreciative, and excited during the orientation and asked varieties of questions towards the end of the session.

Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Dip Nandi, Director, Faculty of Science and Technology, and Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director, BBA Program, Faculty of Business Administration also spoke on the occasion and welcomed the freshman students. In their speech, they inspired the newly admitted university students to be more engaging and responsive during this time of pandemic.
