aiub architecture students organized a Fresher’s reception ceremony at their permanent campus for the very first time. The event was held on 14^th December 2017 at the permanent Univesity Campus of AIUB.  The honorable Head of Architecture Department M. Arefeen Ibrahim along with other respected faculties and students were present. Architecture students of 2^nd and 3^rd year mainly organized and performed at the event. The event was held under the guidance of Lecturer Sumaya Islam and Chowdhury Farah Zaki.

The event started with an opening speech by the Department Head. It was then followed by a Dual Dance performance, a Drama and a performance by the AIUB band group “Tuning Fork”. At the end some respected faculties also joined the band for a song. The fresher’s received gifts and bouquet from their seniors. They received a very warm welcome from the Architecture family of AIUB.

The evening was full of enthusiasm and entertainment. The relentless and collective effort of the students and faculties made the event a memorable one. This kind of initiatives from senior students will help to establish a strong bond between the seniors and fresher’s in the coming years and encourage future generations.
