The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a lively Freshers’ Day on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, to welcome the BBA freshmen of the Fall 2024-2025 Semester. The event was held at the AIUB Multi-purpose Hall in D Building and was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, department heads, faculty members, and the enthusiastic new students.

The program began with a welcome speech by Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the BBA Program. This was followed by remarks from Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, who shared inspiring messages and valuable guidance for the students. Dr. Ziarat H. Khan, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), provided practical insights on navigating campus life. Adding to the inspiration, Mr. Al Asif Khan, an AIUB alumnus and Brand and Channel Development Manager at Dan Cake, shared motivational words to encourage the freshmen.

The event transitioned to an engaging cultural segment featuring captivating performances by current students and members of the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC). Performers included Ms. Nazneen Akter, who recited a poem, and Ms. Ananna Podder, who showcased her talent through a dance performance and renditions of Bengali folk songs, Rabindra Sangeet, and Lalon Geeti. Ms. Sayeeda Alam captivated the audience with her rendition of two Nazrul Geeti. The cultural segment concluded with a vibrant performance by APAC members, mentored by Mr. Soumendra Sankar Das, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing.

The program was coordinated by Ms. Bohi Shajahan, Head of the Department of Finance, with overall supervision from Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing, THM & International Business, and Dr. Rezbin Nahar. It was hosted by faculty members Mr. Jubair Suhan and Ms. Tasnia Shahrin Khan.
