The Bachelor of Architecture is one of the nine (9) Program Entities which was subjected to external peer review (EPR) following the Internal Quality Assurance  (IQA) mechanism designed by UGC-QAU. The EPR was preceded by a self-assessment of the program by the self-assessment committee (SAC) and its output is a SAR containing data and information derived from a survey questionnaire administered to the pre-selected respondents: students, faculty members, alumni and employers.  The information is substantiated by a focal group discussion   generated from selected respondents. The self-assessment report (SAR) which covered on governance, curriculum review, student admission progress, physical facilities, taching and learning, assessment of student performance, student support services, staff and facilities, research and extension, and process management and continuous improvements including  exhibit documents, the actual interaction with the concerned key officials  and  ocular visit were the sources of the review. From this review, EPRs composed of: Mr. B.S. Ponmudiraj, Deputy Adviser of NAAC, Bangalore, India; Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Prof. and Director, IQAC, Khulna University, Bngladesh and Dr. Mushfique Ahmed, Prof. and Director, IQAC, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, are expected to present a report highlighting not only the strengths but more importantly the areas that need improvement or concerns for formulating Improvement Plan with a time horizon of 10-20 years. The IQAC Team of the university, the B. Architecture Staff, Department Heads, Deans and other key officials provided reliable information and valuable support to make the EPR substantive and comprehensive. After 3 days, 19-21 April 2016 of program review, it was time to listen to the wrap-up or overview. On hand to listen to the EPRs were the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamnagna, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director IQAC, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Vice President Academics Prof. Tafazzal Hossain, Deans of the Faculties, Registrar, SAC of B. Architecture headed by Mr. Arefeen Ibrahim, other non-academic Directors and members of the IQAC Team. It was a cordial and enlightening meeting between AIUB-B Architecture and the EPR. The skeletal report will be elaborated and fleshed out for concurrence by the QAC  after 21 days.
