The Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration organized a quiz competition Spring 2024-2025 for the students of Financial Accounting course on May 25, 2025. The competition was open to all first-year students enrolled in the Financial Accounting course. Students are chosen for the preliminary round depending on their performance of the midterm exam. Fifty students in all took part in the competition. Faculty members from Accounting Department, FBA were engaged and provided full support in both the preliminary and final round selection procedure. The Award Ceremony took place on May 25, 2025, in Media Studio, from 4:15 PM to 5:00PM, celebrating the outstanding achievements of the participants.

The ceremony was profoundly honored by the distinguished presence of Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge of the Faculty of Business Administration, whose gracious attendance lent exceptional dignity and significance to the occasion. Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director of the Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA), and Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Professor & Head of the department of Marketing, THM & International Business, were present at the prize-giving ceremony on May 25, 2025 [Venue: Media Studio] to encourage the students. The award ceremony was also attended by the other faculty members of FBA, AIUB.

The champion position was attained by Mr. Farhan Sarker whose mastery of numbers and standards truly sets him apart! The first and second runners-up were Laskar Mehenaj and Sinthia, Israt Jahan respectively. The champion and runner-up members received crests, and other participants received certificates of participation. This quiz competition's goal is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Ensuring Quality Education (SDG 4).

The competition was arranged by Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Professor and Head, Department of Accounting; Mr. Niaz Mohammad ACMA, Assistant Professor; Ms. Sazia Afrin, Assistant Professor; Ms. Saeeda Tajrian, Lecturer of Accounting department.

The Department of Accounting extends its profound thanks to Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, Undergraduate Program (BBA) for overall guidance related to competition and Management of the University for providing valuable support for making the event successful.
