Finance Quiz Contest-Fall 2010-Grand Finale

The Grand Finale of the Finance Quiz Contest-Fall 2010 was held in the AIUB Auditorium at 2:00 pm on Monday, 6th December 2010. The quiz contest received overwhelming response from students and faculty. Sixty-three groups registered for the contest and through a hard fought battle in the First Round, only sixteen groups moved on to the Second Round. After another round of testing and grilling, only four groups qualified for the Grand Finale. The result of the Grand Finale was: Champion: Liza Gomes & Sharmin Akter Runner Up: Ehsaanur Rahman & Mostafizur Rahman The chief guest of the event, Dr. AHM Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director of the BBA program, handed out crests and certificates to all participants. Also present in the event were Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director of the Office of Research and Publication, Dr. Dulal Mia, Head of the Department of Finance, Mr. Zakaria Masud, Head of the Department of Accounting, and faculty members from the Department of Finance and other departments. The event was moderated by Mr. Marvin Rozario, Lecturer in the Department of Finance, and it was hosted by Mr. Hasan A. Mamun, Lecturer in the Department of Finance. Mr. Kamrul Bari, Lecturer in the Department of Finance, was responsible for the overall management of the event. Dr. Kamrul Hasan and Mr. Shafiul Azam, also contributed in organizing the event. The Department of Finance is grateful to the officers and members of the AIUB Business Club (ABC) for their enormous support and hard work in organizing the event.
