A two-day long intensive filmmaking workshop for the college students was conducted on September 6-7, 2019 at the Department of Media and Mass Communication, AIUB. 10 students from different colleges of Dhaka participated in this workshop. Students attended eight sessions in two days where they learned the fundamental concepts of filmmaking: script writing, camera operation, direction, editing, etc. They worked in groups, each comprising of five members, and developed scripts, directed and edited their films. Mohammed Foysal Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Media and Mass Communication conducted all the sessions. Md. Mosfiqur Rahman, Editor helped with the practical sessions and three students of the Department, Tasfik Zaman, Karaboi Kaiser, and Imran Hossain, worked as volunteers to coordinate the entire event. Two films made by the participants were screened in the concluding program followed by the distribution of Certification of Appreciation among the students. Department of Media and Mass Communication coveys its gratitude to the AIUB management for providing with all the resources and logistic support to successfully conduct the workshop.
