Fieldtrip and Seminar on Operations Management Organized by AIUB Business Club (ABC)

The AIUB Business Club (ABC) organized a field trip with a seminar for the students of AIUB at Hamdard Plant, Sonargaon, Narayanganj on 27th of March 2010 in association with Cygnus Communication. The journey towards the plant started at 9:00 am from Campus 1 of AIUB and reached at 11:15 am. Everyone was warmly welcomed by Mr. Mohammed Zamal Uddin (Russell) Deputy Director, Planning and Development, Hamdard Bangladesh along with other officers. After a group photo session, the students were served with welcome drinks and snacks as a courtesy of Hamdard Bangladesh. After freshening up session the group of 80 students was divided into four groups to observe and know how to manage operations at a pharmaceutical plant with the production managers. After thorough observation of the operations managerial activities of Hamdard the students attended the seminar. The seminar started with the speech of Ashikul Bari Aony - President, ABC. The honorable speakers for the seminar on Operations Management was Mr. Mohammed Zamal Uddin (Russell) – Deputy Director, Planning and Development, Hamdard Bangladesh and Lt Col Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury (Retd) – Director Foundation, Hamdard Bangladesh. The students had lunch and climbed aboard the bus to go to the Hamdard University Bangladesh project for some sightseeing, recreation and evening tea. The seminar successfully ended with a certificate awarding ceremony and everyone returned to Campus 1 of AIUB. ABC would like to thank Mr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury - Director of MBA Program, Hamdard Bangladesh and Cygnus Communication for their cooperation and support in making this event successful.
