On October 19, 2023 [Thursday], the department of accounting organized a seminar on “Navigating the auditing landscape: The audit process in Bangladesh” in media studio from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. This seminar was particularly organized for the major students of accounting. The guest speaker was Md. Mahedi Hasan FCA CPFA Managing Partner, Tasnuva Mahedi Bhola (TMB) Chartered Accountants and Director, TMB Advisory and BPO Services Limited. Previously he worked as a director, ACNABIN Chartered Accountants. He is expert in different fields like IFRS, Vat and Tax consultants, Public finance, Business Advisory and Fraud examiner. He discussed about the current role of chartered accountant in auditing, the audit process and the changing arena of audit, role of CA and shared audit risk from his personal experience. The session was very informative and students actively learned from the guest speaker. The objective of this seminar is harmoniously aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal of ensuring quality education (SDG 4).

The seminar was arranged by the Niaz Mohammad ACMA, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting. Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Associate Professor and Head Accounting and other accounting faculties of were present during the seminar. At the end of the session, Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director Undergraduate Program (BBA) gave a vote of thanks and provide a certificate as well as token of appreciation to key speaker.
