The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, organized a plant visit to ‘Meghna Beverage Limited’ a business concern of the renowned Bangladeshi business conglomerate Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) located at the Meghna Industrial Economic Zone, Sonargaon, Narayanganj on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

As a part of the regular student development program under the industry-academia collaboration, marketing major students went on to visit the plant to get practical insights about the factory operations, production processes, quality control, packaging, storage, and shipment procedures of the different beverage brands of Meghna Beverage.

The students participated with great enthusiasm and learning aptitude in understanding the different functions of the plant operations. At the closing, the faculty members expressed their vote of appreciation to the company officials and presented gift packs to the plant management on behalf of AIUB.

The objective of this study visit was in line with the key sustainable development goal (SDG) of the United Nations, “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Marketing, THM, & IB on organizing this type of study tour reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the marketing domain.

Mr. Hamidul Islam [Hamid], and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Senior Assistant Professors from the Department of Marketing, FBA organized the plant visit under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing. The Department of Marketing, FBA expressed sincere appreciation for all administrative and logistical support received from the AIUB Management; Director, BBA Program; Director, OSA, AIUB; and Deputy Director, Administration, AIUB. The Department of Marketing was really pleased to have the support and cooperation received from Mr. Muntasir Mamun, Assistant General Manager (Beverage), Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) and an alumna of the Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB for facilitating this plant visit.
