The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) observed its Fresher’s Day for the Summer 2025–26 intake on Monday, June 29, 2026. Presided over by Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean (In-charge) of FBA, the event brought together department heads and esteemed faculty members to warmly welcome the incoming cohort. In his inaugural address, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain emphasized the vital role of academic rigor and grit in shaping future success, encouraging students to uphold AIUB’s strong legacy of performance. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Director in Charge of the BBA Program, and Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of Graduate Programs, who guided the new students through the university's core rules and regulations. In his address to the incoming BBA students, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saiful Islam delivered inspiring remarks highlighting the transformative power of business education in today’s rapidly evolving global economy. He encouraged the cohort to embrace curiosity, cultivate strong ethical leadership, and fully leverage AIUB's resources to turn their academic journey into a foundation for impactful, lifelong success.

The cultural segment transitioned into an engaging and lively showcase featuring captivating performances by the talented current students. The activities featured soulful poetic expressions, starting with a recitation of "Omolklanti" by Ms. Naznin Akter. The stage came alive with dynamic choreography as multiple student groups exhibited captivating dance performances. A remix dance performance to "Se jon Premer vab jane na", "Jhumka", and "Moha Jadhu" was beautifully performed by the trio of Ms. Tasnim Binte Taher, Ms. Ananna Podder, and Mr. Borno Chakraborty. Adding to the energetic atmosphere, Ms. Puza Rani Shill and Ms. Sumaiya Jahan Alo performed a vibrant remix dance to "Baaji", "Long Distance", and "Bapuram Shapure", followed later by a stunning classical dance performance by Ms. Ananna Podder on "Komolay nritto kore". Furthermore, the group of Ms. Nowshin Jahan Ome, Ms. Jannatul Ferdous, and Mr. S.M. Samir Nowsad delighted the audience with their collaborative dance performance to "Ma lo Ma", "Nacho", and "Pagla hawar". The musical segment deeply resonated with the audience, showcasing both impressive solo renditions and harmonious duets across a variety of traditional and modern songs. Ms. Arpita Rani Biswas captivated the gathering with her solo performances of "O amar desher mati tomar thekai matha" and "Shukno patay nupur paye/ Rhumjhum Rhumjhum". Ms. Sharah Mehjabin Anchal performed the melodic "Ek paye nupur", while Ms. Ferdous Jahan Anika delivered emotive solo renditions of "Ki Jala diye geli more" and "Alga koro go". Adding to the musical richness, Ms. Kabery Khan Pritha showcased her vocal versatility with "Ki likhi tomay" and the deep folk classic "Khachar bhetor ochin pakhi". The vocal performances also included a wonderful duet, where Ms. Kabery Khan Pritha and Ms. Ferdous Jahan Anika joined voices to perform "Rail Liner Dhare". In a unique crossover performance, Ms. Puza Rani Shill also took the stage to present an expressive interpretation combining "Alga koro go khupar badhon" and "Rumjhum Rumjhum".

The program concluded on a high note with an enthralling cultural performance organized by FBA students and supported by APAC members. Hosted by final-semester Marketing major Shafia Khan and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, the celebration was made possible through the dedicated support of AIUB Management, Administration, and the Office of Student Affairs (OSA). A distinguished group of faculty members—including Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Hoque, Mehzab H. Nahid, Soumendra Sankar Das, Stanley Sumon Rodrick, Fatema Tuz Zahra, Hamidul Islam, Dr. Md. Sazzadur Rahman Khan, Dr. AKM Matiur Rahman, Professor Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain, Moinuddin Ahmed, Sanjida Akhtar, Nabila Wahid, Noholli Nur Auntick, Afrina Azad Omi, Anima Karmakar, and Sharmin Sultana—attended to show their support, ensuring a smooth and inspiring start to the freshers' academic journeys.

By engaging students in vibrant cultural performances alongside academic orientation, the event fostered mental well-being, social connection, and a positive campus environment that directly aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). The inclusion of creative expression helps reduce early-semester stress and nurtures a supportive atmosphere crucial for emotional and psychological health. Concurrently, introducing incoming students to university expectations and academic resources establishes a foundation for inclusive, high-quality learning environments under Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). This holistically structured transition equips freshers with both the personal resilience and academic guidance needed for long-term educational excellence.
