Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences honored its brightest students who earned their place in the Dean’s List on July 16, 2018. Twenty three students from the Department of English, Media and Mass Communication, Economics, and Law were awarded the Certificate of Recognition for their outstanding academic performance in the Spring 2017-18. Students who secured GPA 3.75 or above and met other rigorous criteria were selected for the award. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President of Academics Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dr. Tazul Islam congratulated the students on their extraordinary feat and promised to extend all-out support to facilitate their progress.  In their brief speech, two awardees expressed gratitude to their teachers and the university management for providing with a wonderful platform to groom and develop themselves.  Head of respective departments and teachers were present to celebrate the students’ success. 

This is the third edition of honoring students of the Dean’s List organized by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The aim of the initiative is to boost the morale of current students who have been truly sincere towards their studies. Alongside with honoring graduates during the convocation with a wide range of distinctions, this program has been undertaken to inspire the present batch of promising students in their pursuit of their excellence. Dr. Tazul Islam thanked the management for helping to organize the program on a regular basis in his vote of thanks.
