The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, organized a program entitled "Farewell to the FBA Graduating Students” for the Fall 2023-2024 semester on Thursday, February 01, 2024, held in the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7. Graduating students who have completed their BBA & MBA Internship Defense participated in the event. FBA faculty members, Department Heads, Program Directors, and Administrative Representatives from AIUB also joined in the event and shared their valuable guidelines to make it successful and memorable for the students.
The farewell program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program, FBA, who stressed the importance of higher education and future career planning to the graduating students. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, MBA and EMBA Program, FBA, delivered an inspirational speech, followed by an address on career choice and planning by Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA, Director, Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA). He also congratulated the FBA Graduating students of Fall 2023-2024 and wished them a prosperous career and life.
To acknowledge the AIUB Alumni from Business School, FBA introduced a new category of felicitating alumni every semester. Likewise, Mr. Md. Auhidul Islam, Country HR Lead of Godrej Household Products Bangladesh, was recognized this time. He highlighted the importance of structured career planning for professional development for graduating students. Some of the students shared their best memories, mentioning the different experiences throughout their academic journey at AIUB, followed by a farewell song by Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB.
Dr. Mohammad Ali, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Management and HRM, talked about the AIUB Alumni Society (AlUBAlumS), followed by the performances of the graduating students. After the lively performance, the EMCEE of the program, Ms. Shahnaz Zarin Haque, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, FBA, invited all the faculty members and the graduating students on the stage to have the group photo.
The program was coordinated and facilitated by Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Mr. Hamidul Islam [Hamid], Senior Assistant Professors, Faculty, Department of Marketing; and Dr. Mohammad Ali, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Management and HRM, under the direct guidance and supervision of Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program, and Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, MBA and EMBA Program.
