The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) hosted a graceful Farewell Ceremony for the Graduating Students of Summer 2024-25 on Thursday, October 30, at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7. The event honored the accomplishments of students who successfully completed their BBA and MBA Internship Defenses, symbolizing the conclusion of a defining chapter in their academic journey.

The proceedings commenced with welcoming remarks from Mr. R. Tareque Moudud, Director, Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA). In his address, he lauded the graduates for their perseverance, discipline, and hard work, while extending his best wishes for continued success in their future endeavors.

This was followed by an inspiring message from Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB, who reflected on the graduates’ learning journey and encouraged them to remain inquisitive, adaptable, and committed to lifelong growth in a rapidly evolving world. The Chief Guest of the event, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, delivered an insightful keynote speech, urging the graduating class to lead with integrity, passion, and a sense of purpose as they enter the next phase of their lives.

Continuing the spirit of reflection, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration, shared profound perspectives on resilience, ethical leadership, and the importance of upholding one’s values amidst professional challenges. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, also addressed the audience, acknowledging the students’ academic dedication and offering practical guidance for navigating their transition into the professional arena.

In continuation of FBA’s initiative to celebrate distinguished alumni each semester, the ceremony featured two accomplished professionals from the corporate sector:

  • Ms. Fatema Moriam Nisha, Head of People, Culture & Diversity | Strategic Advisor, People & Culture, SMEC
  • Mr. K. M. Habibur Rahaman, Supply Chain Manager (Lead), Berger Fosroc Limited

Both alumni delivered inspiring reflections drawn from their personal and professional experiences. Ms. Nisha highlighted the importance of self-initiative and continuous personal development as the cornerstone of career success, while Mr. Rahaman emphasized the lasting impact of consistency, perseverance, and integrity in achieving professional excellence. Their words bridged academic insight with real-world application, providing the graduates with valuable direction as they step into their careers.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, MBA and EMBA Programs, who shared meaningful reflections on personal growth and professional purpose, and expressed gratitude to the invited guests, organizers, and faculty before presenting tokens of appreciation on behalf of the faculty.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, BBA Program, and Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, and was coordinated by Ms. Shahnaz Zarin Haque, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management; Mr. Mehzab H. Nahid, Senior Assistant Professor and Head, Department of MIS and Business Analytics; and Ms. Kishwar Mubin Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Management and HRM, who also served as the Master of Ceremony for the occasion.
