On Monday, November 25^th, the Department of Management and HRM organized a Video Resume Competition for the students of Principles of Management and Introduction to Organizational Behavior. The program was initiated by Ms. Kishwar Mubin Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, Department of Management and HR and course instructor for the aforementioned courses, to familiarize students with modern day recruitment initiatives being utilized in the world of HR. A total of 80 video resumes were submitted for an initial round of shortlisting. The top 20 submissions were then nominated for a screening before a panel of judges. Dr. Charles C Villanueva, Vice President-Academics and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration was present to deliver an opening speech and join the panel of judges alongside the Director of OPA,  Mr. Roomee Tareque Moudud and from the Department of Management and HR,  Senior Assistant Professors, Ms. Hafsa Maryam and Ms. Anisa Sultana and Associate Professor, Mr. Obaidul Islam (Sr). After deliberating on presentation, grooming, clarity of language and overall content of the videos, judges awarded certificates to the top five submissions. The other shortlisted candidates were presented with Certificates of Nomination as well.  The event was an overall success in generating student interest and enthusiasm and gave them the opportunity to learn how to use social media platforms to promote themselves better as prospects in the job market.
