Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Department of Computer Engineering (CoE) of Faculty of Engineering (FE), AIUB has successfully organized and conducted the virtual final defense of capstone project groups. The defense program was held in 9 parallel online sessions through different channels in Microsoft Teams platform which started at 10 AM and finished at 1 PM. The sessions were coordinated by 18 faculty members of FE under the guidance of Capstone Project Committee.  A total number of 32 Supervisors, External Supervisors joined virtually. In addition, 137 students from a total of 35 groups of Capstone Project, who started their final year project from Fall 19-20 Semester, have remotely joined in the full virtual platform from different locations of the country and defended their Capstone Project successfully. After the question answer session, Supervisors and External supervisors evaluated the attendees using online rubrics. 

On the same day at afternoon, it was further brought to life by the cordial inaugurating speech from Prof. Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). He commended all the students for presenting such splendid work during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and wished them success in their future endeavors. After that the declaration of top three posters took place where judges inspected all the posters through online evaluation process. Later, the best three project groups were announced who secured their Dean’s Award for their outstanding project work and nominated for Vice Chancellor Award in the upcoming convocation which was declared by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB).  The entire session was hosted by Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Head, Department of CoE & Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). Finally, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman gave a closing speech, where he appreciated all the participants for all their diligence in successfully defending their projects.
