Faculties of EEE Department visited the United Group

Four (4) of the faculties from EEE Dept. of AIUB were invited to meet the MD and the CEO of the country famous United Group at their Head Office, United Center, Gulshan 2, Dhaka on 22nd April, 2014. Ms. Humaira Salmin (Lecturer, EEE Dept.), Mr. Taskin Jamal (Lecturer, EEE Dept.), Mr. Rakibul Hafiz (Lecturer, EEE Dept.) and Mr. Mohammad Shafquatul Islam (Lecturer, EEE Dept.) conveyed the gratitude message for providing the AIUB EEE students the opportunity to visit the United Ashuganj Power Ltd. and the United Power Generation & Distribution Co. Ltd. and they handed over small tokens of appreciation. The faculties were given a brief introduction of the United Group and the present and future business plans and strategies by Ms. Rayeesa Jamil (Trainee Engineer) and Ms. Shamila Habib (Trainee Engineer). The faculties then had a deep discussion on the present and future power sector scenario of Bangladesh with Rear Admiral (Retd.) Bazlur Rahman, the CEO of the United Group.
