‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DEA)’ ceremony at AIUB
American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) organized the ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DEA)’ ceremony (Bronze Level) on 7th April, 2013 at AIUB auditorium in campus 1. A total of 21 participants received the bronze award from the Dean, FBA for their achievements in self-development skills and community services. The Award Ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Dean, Prof Dr Charles Villanueva,( Faculty of Business Administration), Dr. AHM Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Associate Dean (Faculty of Business Administration), Mr. A. K. Nazmul, Director (BBA Program) and Award Coordinator and Award Leader, DEA in AIUB and Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, MBA Program. All Department Heads, several Faculty Members and a large number of students were also present at the Award ceremony program.
Among others, Musa Ibrahim, the first Bangladeshi to conquer the Mount Everest and Goodwill Ambassador of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation, Bangladesh and office secretaries of DEA Foundation were also present in this ceremony. Earlier, an Open House Session was held at the same venue. Mr. Mojibur Rahman, Program Manager of DEA Foundation, was present at the program as special guest and mentioned various facts of the Award and explained why the award is valuable for the students. He also answered to the questions asked by the students. Later the specials guests were given AIUB souvenir by Dean, FBA, Associate Dean, FBA and also the Director, BBA and MBA programs.
