Dept. of EEE, AIUB arranged a study tour to Network Service Operation Center (SOC) of Robi Axiata Limited.

 
Electrical and Electronic Department, FE, AIUB had arranged a study tour to Network Service Operation Center of Robi Axiata Ltd on last Thursday, June 20, 2013. The tour was made successful by a notable and the warmest mutual consent of Faculty of Engineering, AIUB and Operation Core, Robi Axiata Ltd. Selected 25 graduating students from EEE Dept. who showed their keen interest upon mobile and cellular communication, have taken part to the event. Mr. D. M. S. Sultan (Faculty, Dept. of EEE) and Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid (Lecturer, Dept. of EEE) had been the representative of AIUB throughout the study visit at Robi premises. The whole event contained within the demonstration of real-time Robi-network monitoring cell (SOC), corporate training sessions on GSM and IP core backbone, Transmission Backhaul, analogy of service-assurance & network KPI, and Intelligent Network.    Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain (Dean), Md. Abdur Rahman (Asst. Prof. & Head), Mr. D. M. S. Sultan (Faculty) and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Asst. Prof. & Special Asst. of OSA) on behalf of FE, AIUB and Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed (General Manager of Technology Division, Robi Axiata Ltd.), Mr. Mohammad Shamim Ahsan (Specialist, IP Core, Robi Axiata Ltd.) had put their special efforts to make the event successful and build the first step of academy and industrial collaboration between AIUB and Robi Axiata Ltd. Industrial insiders from Robi remarked this event as a long step to build the next generation engineering-young-minds in accordance to  today’s telecommunication-market-necessity.
