The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB-IQAC) organized day long training program on Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC)'s accreditation process for the four faculties and administrative staffs, on 18th of January 2024 from 10:00 am- 4:30 pm at the Multipurpose Hall, Building D, Level 10. Recently five programs of the four faculties of AIUB has submitted expression of interest to get accredited by the national accreditation body, Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). The programs are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering. Professor Farheen Hassan Ph.D., Director, AIUB-IQAC, and Dr. ABM Rahmatullah, Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC conducted the seminar. The seminar was attended by the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), Faculty Quality Assurance Committee (FQAC), Program Self-assessment Committee (PSAC) and administrative staff of AIUB.

There were two parts to the training. The morning segment of the training was undertaken by Professor Farheen Hassan Ph.D, and she familiarized the audience with the 10 criteria and standards of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC)’s accreditation process. The second segment was conducted by Dr. ABM Rahmatullah, where he demonstrated the documentation process of the accreditation process. The whole day training was a highly interactive session, where participants learned the technicalities of the BAC accreditation process. This preparation training was the inception of the chain of trainings to fulfill the national accreditation process. The support of IQAC team, Office of Student Affairs, Administration staff and AIUB management made the event a success.
