The Department of Computer Science under the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at American International University-Bangladesh successfully organized the “CS Thesis and Poster Presentation Day of Fall 2025-26” on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Levels 5–6 and the Multipurpose Hall, D Building, Level 10, AIUB. The event marked the successful culmination of undergraduate thesis and research activities conducted by 320 graduating students of the Fall 2025-26 semester.

The program was arranged for all valid undergraduate thesis groups and comprised two major segments: the Thesis Defense Session held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the Poster Presentation Session from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

The thesis defense sessions were conducted in multiple parallel tracks based on specialized research domains within computer science, namely Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Bio-inspired Robotics, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Computer Network and Architecture. Each research group presented their work before evaluation panels consisting of internal faculty members and distinguished external judges. The participating students received valuable observations, recommendations, and constructive feedback intended to strengthen the quality of their research and support their future academic and professional pursuits.

Following the defense sessions, the students participated in the poster presentation segment, where they demonstrated their research outcomes through visual presentations and interactive discussions with faculty members, fellow students, guests, and visitors. The event was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Md. Abdullah-Al-Jubair, Director of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Firoz Mridha, Head of the Department of Computer Science.

Based on the evaluations conducted by the respected faculty members and invited guests, Best Poster Awards were presented across several research domains, including Computer Vision, Algorithms and Graph Theory, Computer Network, Data Science, Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI in Healthcare, AI in Security & Smart Systems, AI in Agriculture, and AI in Finance. Certificates were awarded to the students in recognition of their outstanding poster presentations and research contributions.

The event was further honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, who visited the poster exhibition area and interacted with the participating students. He appreciated the quality of the research works and encouraged the students to continue contributing to innovation and technological advancement.

The “CS Thesis and Poster Presentation Day of Fall 2025-26” concluded successfully as a significant academic event that reflected the Department of Computer Science’s commitment to fostering research excellence, innovation, and scholarly engagement among students. The department extends its sincere appreciation to all faculty members, external judges, guests, organizers, and participating students whose support and active involvement contributed to the successful execution of the event.
